i dont think it will ever work. there are two different model of blackberry bold out there to support different band. there is no phone right now that supports both 3g band 2 and band 4 and i don't think that's even technically possible.

some quote from other forum about similar situation in canada

    Dro,

    1. UMTS Band I (2100) is NOT what WIND is deploying and a handset with just UMTS Band I (2100) will NOT work on WIND. And no... Even Band I and Band IV (AWS 1700) share some of the downlink channels, the uplink channels are in different block of frequencies...

If you want to learn more, I strongly recommend you to check out "A Visual Guide to AWS" at PhoneScoop...

    2. In the current WIND line-up, all but the Samsung Gravity 2 SGH-T469 does not support UMTS Band I (2100) and all support GSM 850/900/1800/1900. So they can be roamed in other regions wherever service is available.

The RIM BlackBerry Bold 9700 has actually got 2 variants with DIFFERENT 3G operating bands..

    Model RCM71UW for Rogers/Bell/TELUS: UMTS Band I (2100), II (1900), V (850)
Model RCN71UW for WIND: UMTS Band I (2100), IV (AWS 1700), VIII (900)
