    BlackBerry Torch OS 6.0.0.526 -- What I found....

    Advertisement

    Going from .246 to .526 doesn't sound like much of a difference, but I did find some differences between the two.

    The first difference I saw is, now you can move songs in your music playlists. On .246, you couldn't do that, and now, you can.

    The last difference I found was the Camera. You can now disable Digital Zoom (don't know why you would want to, but you can). I'm sure there's more, we just have to look.

    So what about everyone else? Anyone else download the update? What differences did you find that I didn't?

    After the screen has timed-out and gone black, sometimes a push on the trackpad will wake it up, sometimes it won't (but the other buttons will wake it up). I think this may be related to BeBuzz reminders, but it wasn't like that before the .526 upgrade.

    Well, I haven't experienced that, but I also did notice something else interesting. When you charge the Torch, the yellow lightning bolt (charging icon) flashes to indicate it's charging. (I think it's pretty cool) When it's done charging, you see a black plug-icon in replacement of the lightning bolt. The "plug" icon indicates it's done charging.

    Yeah, that's been around for a few OSs, Drasadex.

    A good upgrade is .534. Longer battery life end better touch.

    Did anyone have any problems when they did their upgrade?

    My phone went into a restart cycle immediately after...
    Though I don't think it was the OS' fault, since wiping it and downgrading didn't fix it.
    (It wasn't the Media Card either, since that was removed...)

    I've sent my Torch off to be repaired. -_-;;;

    Hm. No such problems with the reboot cycle, thankfully.

    The browser is a bit different, now the bookmarks appear as snapshots (small icons) of the page, rather like Opera mini, history list has this as well, rather than just text.

    Open the browser window, click on the menu key, then options, then change from thumbnail view to list view.

    Good to know you can change back to list view, although I do like the thumbnail view
