Data/power adapter identical to HTC Desire?

Hello, I am new to the forum and have yet to browse all the topics, but I had a quick question.

Is my Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc data cable (power charging cable) identical to that of an HTC Desire?

You see, my girlfriend uses a Desire and needs to have a charger in my car. Can I just use that for my Xperia Arc as well? The connection slot looks the same.

If they are both micro usb then yes. I have a HTC Inspire that I'm using a Blackberry 9800 charger on at work, both are micro usb and it works just fine.

I may be wrong, but I believe somewhere I read/heard that mice UBS is a standard for new devices (iphone obviously not)
