If that dosn't work. Backup hand help and reinstall the OS. Instructs on doing that can be found here: www.pinstack.com/blackberryfaq

Ok, so I have cleared the address book and reloaded it, tried to do a hard reset AND repaired/reinstalled the 4.1 OS on my blackberry and STILL get the same message:

    Uncaught Exception:
    java.lang.illegalArgumentException

I have tried google and everything else...Does my BB just hate me?

I had this same error when I upgraded to OS 4.1 Hong Kong version

it was fixed when I downloaded and installed OS 4.1 from Cable & Wireless:

Have you tried this? I'm having the same problem but I don't have this kind of time. I'd like to know if it worked for you!
