Hi guyz !

I have installed Plazmic Theme Reader on my blackberry 8100 Pearl and since, I cannot install any themes...
I have tried to uninstall the software, to format the BB, I have bought Mobylo Surewipe but I don't succeed to install any theme...

Please help me.

you don't need the theme reader for the 8100
you should uninstall it via the desktop manager...unclick the box

However, I have uninstall via Surewipe bad files (plazmic_XXX...) and since, I have NO theme in my blackberry (I have the theme manager in the options but no theme appears on my device :S)

I have made a hard reset and a format but no changes.......

Please help...

im not familiar with the surewipe.
what exactly did it take off of your bb?
you should use desktop manager to remove any applications you do not want on your bb.

you may need to reload the themes you already had on the bb...were they custom themes or the carrier themes that come preloaded on the bb?

I have uninstall All files who begins with "Plazmic_" with Surewipe...
I think that some of these files were system files...
I'm working on mac with PocketMac and I had no way to use desktop manager...
I have already try to reload but without success...

I'll try to install the OS again...

you can't load themes with your mac
you will have to download them OTA.

i made my theme and i saved it somwhere..then what do i do? i tried to export it too and it said it was succesful but it didnt apear anywhere...i just need to know the next step

you kind of need to know where you saved it.

did you extract it to an alx file?

once you figure out where you are saving it, then you can load it on to your device thru desktop manager

you will find that re starting the device will then show the theme in the list. For some reason developing themes using Plazmic requires a restart, thats doesnt mean power off and on you will need to pull the battery out then it should work. good luck

P.S If anyone has any ideas for a new theme I have hit a stopping point on ideas to create news ones, I did some Apple iphone themes and improvements on the BB Zen but want to get a little more adventurous

I have done that same thing and my themes are not showing up. I downloaded them by logging on to the site from my pearl, and from downloading the zip file, in both cases I do not see the theme even after I have pulled my battery out and put it back in....
can you help me?

sono - im guessing that you need an OS update.

the OS version and plazmic theme reader version MUST match

options/about - third line down would be your OS

options/advanced options/applications

click menu and choose modules
the plazmic theme reader should be in there...listed
if not, then there is your problem
if so, and the version digits don't match, then there is your problem

if I have a pearl then do I need the theme reader still? Some people have told me that if I have a pearl then I dont need the plazmic theme reader is this true?

Also how do I find my OS version again?

If so, How do I update my OS?

sono - you need to make sure that the theme reader on your pearl is the same version (digits) as the OS.

go to options/advanced options/applications
then click menu and choose modules
scroll down to com_plazmic_themereader

The pearl does need a theme reader but rim got smart this time and included it in th os. With that being said, they messed up with some. The os version and the plazmic theme reader version do not match. They have to.

You should update your os with the links I have provided above. That will eliminate your issues.

And no...its my husbands name. I like them tho...good band
