ok thanks. i noticed that you didnt edit the vodaphone or 02 themes. do they not work on our device?

and one final question for you - after doing this, it works fine for you?

ok one more - will they appear in the options>themes ? is that how you enable them. if not, how?

thanks again for your help. A+

Re: How to Unlock all Hidden and vendor themes.

Yes it did work fine to my suprise? However i did not like any of them and put my original .alx file back in place and simply downloaded the Zen theme ota. I currently don't even use the Zen so in the end i upgraded the os and don't use any of the new features. Odd i know.....but i like my own themes and i don't use ringtones. BUT the good news was i was able to see/touch the things everyone was talking so much about.

    Hope this helps?

hellofit2005, That's OK, the Cingular theme is ugly anyway.

    Please Be Patient

I am using 8703e from Verizon and am interested in using some of the themes offered by Cingular, T-Mobile and Sprint. I know my vendor code is 105.

I just don't understand what I am suppose to do once I go get to the Blackberry.alx file. I can find the file, I just don't understand what to do afterwards.

Please don't flame me, just trying to access additional themes and can't quite understand the detailed instructions. Thanks

Am I missing a step somewhere? I am trying to unlock the Cingular Themes for my Pearl (I have Tmo)...I've changed the vendor codes to 102. When I run the app loader it tells me "No Actions are Required"....

If I am not mistaken, if you have TMOBILE, you need put 100 as your vendor code.

This is odd, I do not even see the the right folders and when I do a full search of blackberry.alx nothing comes up, am I missing something? I have the latest Desktop Manager software running for my Pearl.

You need to have the BlackBerry Operating System on your computer, that's where the blackberry.alx file is, not in the desktop manager.

If you have tmo, you can go to tmobile.com/bbupgrade and download it from there, or it MAY have come on the same CD as the DM, but not likely (in a few instances it did). Or just go to blackberry support and find your carrier and download the OS from them directly.
