Awesome guide. Thanks for the tips. It worked!

Re: How to Unlock all Hidden and vendor themes.

Hi. I am a week into having my Pearl 8100 (converted from a Motorola RAZR) and still trying to figure things out. I'm on T-Mobile with BES service. I've upgraded to OS 4.2.0.73.

If I modify the Blackberry.alx file to unlock the other vendor themes and run Apploader, will I have to reactive my BES service?

Also, has anyone created at theme that has separate icons for BES mail, SMS messages, and Internet Mail?

    Thanks!

Yes because effectively you are reloading your OS in order to allow the unlocked themes to be loaded and activated.

    Hope this helps.

ok, so I have a TMO Pearl, and I changed all the vendor codes to mine (100), but I still cannot use all the themes. I can only use the TMO, and ATT ones. What gives?

Re: How to Unlock all Hidden and vendor themes.

Well, on day 2 of my new 8800, I decided to get bold and give the new theme unlocking thing a shot.

Worked like a charm, first try. The only advice I can give (well, based on my success) is to read the instructions and it's hard to go wrong. I didn't think themes would turn my crank but they sure did, they are nice!

I do have one question though: I have installed the BBDM on two separate machines, for the same phone (my home desktop and my laptop). I have upgraded the home desktop's DM to do this installation, do I have to repeat this for the laptop so that they are running the same version? My guess is to follow all the steps except decline the upgrade to the handheld but just wanted to ask anyone else that might have multiple machines what they might have done.

Again, wow -- these themes are awesome!

I have no idea how to unlock the themes on the 8800, I looked all into the RIM common files, and still no blackberry.alx

Have you installed a copy of the current OS that is on your handheld, onto your PC yet. That is required to have a blackberry.alx file.

    Hope this helps.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~I'm with Rogers and my device is a 8800. I would like to hide or make disappeared the word Rogers on my face screen. Can it be done? Most interested and eager to rid of Rogers!!!

That probably won't happen as long as you're connected to a Rogers tower. And I don't know what Rogers' policy is when roaming.

Re: How to Unlock all Hidden and vendor themes.

Would the same instructions for unlocking vendor themes apply on a 8700 after upgrading OS to 4.2 ??

    Thanks in advance
