    EDIT:
please check this thread for a more up-to-date straight line process on unlocking vendor themes
    http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...pt_8130_a.html

Ok everyone, I am creating this because I read over and over people asking how to install certain themes for exp. The "Zen" theme but run into issues like it does not work or they do not understan how to do it correctly. So here is the easiest way and most perm.

Step 1) Find your current OS software file located here in most cases...
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\"deviceOSversion" exp. C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\8700-v4.1.0.286_P2.0.0.123

Step 2) Right click on the "Blackberry.alx" and select "Open with" and select notepad or wordpad.

Step 3) Once opened look for the following in the text below. For help I made the text in red.

    <loader version="1.0">

Step 6) I have only listed a few for example. For instance if it shows _vendorID="105"> and your vendor code is "100" then make it look like this _vendorID="100">

Just a friendly reminder you only need to edit the ones with your device type for example all the 8700 are for 87xx only any others will laod but not be functionable. Qwerty is for all 72xx series and Reduced is for 71xx series devices.

Step 7) After you have finished changing the Vendor Codes just save the file and run apploader.

Note: Anytime you download a new Software you will have to do this again.

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
Exactly what it says "Vendor" themes. If you look at the code you will see them all. Orange. Vadafone. Cingular. Tmobile. O2. And so on.

Re: How to Unlock all Hidden and vendor themes.

How do you find out your vendor code? If you are with Cingular does it mean that your vendor code is 102 and you replace all the vendor codes on themes you want with 102? I have a 7130C and I tried the alt, cap, H but it didnt work. I could not get the vendor code. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: How to Unlock all Hidden and vendor themes.

First, let me say thank you, as I have just successfully used your instructions to reveal the hidden vendor themes for my VZW 7130e. I do, however have two questions that I hope you or another Stacker can answer:

    1) The Vodafone theme is for the 7100v, but I'd love to get the theme for the new 7130v. Is there someplace that I can get a newer blackberry.alx file that would include the theme for the Vodafone 7130v?

    2) Some themes, such as the default Verizon 7130e theme, use folders to organize icons. For example, all of the games I download show up in Applications. The alarm clock appear under Settings, etc. Is this capability built into the theme, or can other themes be adapted to perform the same way?

    Best Regards,

    Ben

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
It is theme dependant unfort maybe in the future that will be an adaptable option but as of right now u cannot change anything in themes but fonts and backgrounds

Re: How to Unlock all Hidden and vendor themes.

This brings up an interesting question....Is there anyway by formatting this file I can wipe out all of the preinstalled ringers that are installed on my device considering the fact that I hate preinstalled ringers and I don't use them so they are just taking up space?

I have been told it can't be done, but I would assume if there is a way to format the themes, there would be a way to remove the preinstalled ringers?

Re: How to Unlock all Hidden and vendor themes.

Can somebody please answer my earlier post please!!! I am on cingular and replaced the code for o2 with 102. I see the theme on my bb 7130C but I cannot activate it. Please help!!!

Thanks

I never changed the vendor code, just deleted it completly.

    Deleted the _vendorID="105" that is

Yes if you are cingular your code is 102, change the codes to the themes that are for your BB in other words changing a 8700 theme code to 102 will not work on your device. I just tried this and it unlocked bell, rogers, Verizon, Vodafone and 02 themes for my BB 7105t.

Sorry it took so long for someone to respond to your request. If this doesn't work let me know and I'll try to help as much as I can. But I did it by following the directions posted above.

    Take Care!

I did change the code to 102 for the keyboardeType="Reduced" and loaded the o2 icons theme. It shows up in my themes but I dont see an activate option. I am using the new blackberry 7130c. Thanks
