| Re: How to Unlock all Hidden and vendor themes.
So every time I alter the BlackBerry.alx file and install in on my 8130 from VZW I get an error code, either "app error 523 or 200". I have tried multiple times and have successfully done this on 3 other Blackberries (not pearls) so I am confident I know what I am doing. Very weird and any input is appreciated. TIA, JD |

Well Jess, both of your problems are caused by the same thing. The lack of a current version of the 8130 HandHeld software package being installed on your PC. If you have downloaded it, you did not successfully install it. It has to be executed once downloaded. Then you should have the shared folder. And not have the "No apps found" error. Rcbjr |

Something seems amiss here - i'm trying to free up a few MBs by removing some of the vendor themes that I don't like or will never use... with little success it seems - See below... not all of the themes have my vendor id codes, bcuz I've already removed that line... yet they are still showing on my Berry... (highlighted in red for ease of reading) this is a cut and paste from my blackberry.alx... Any ideas how I can remove Orange, O2 for example, given the configuration below - TIA!!! <!-- Theme filesets --> <fileset radio="~CDMA-GPRS" Theme="Normal" Colour="True" series="8800|8300" Java="1.0"> <files> net_rim_bb_media_320x240_b.cod </files> </fileset> <fileset Theme="Normal" Colour="True" series="8800|8300" Java="1.0"> <files> net_rim_theme_bbdimension_icon_320x240_b.cod </files> </fileset> <fileset Theme="Normal" Colour="True" series="8800|8300" Java="1.0"> <files> net_rim_theme_bbdimension_today_320x240_b.cod </files> </fileset> <fileset Theme="Normal" Colour="True" series="8800|8300" Java="1.0"> <files> net_rim_theme_bbdimension_zen_320x240_b.cod </files> </fileset> <!-- Bell Mobility Canada filesets --> <!-- AT&T US filesets --> <fileset Colour="True" Java="1.0" series="8800|8300" _vendorID="102"> <files> net_rim_theme_102a_icon_320x240_b.cod </files> </fileset> <!-- Telefonica filesets --> <fileset Colour="True" Java="1.0" series="8800|8300"> <files> net_rim_theme_129_320x240_b.cod </files> </fileset> <!-- TIM filesets --> <fileset Colour="True" Java="1.0" series="8800|8300"> <files> net_rim_theme_115_320x240_b.cod </files> </fileset> <!-- T-Mobile filesets --> <fileset Colour="True" series="8800|8300" Java="1.0" _vendorID="102"> <files> net_rim_theme_100_320x240_b.cod net_rim_bb_media_100_five_icon_library.cod net_rim_tmo_five.cod </files> </fileset> <fileset Colour="True" series="8800|8300" Java="1.0" _vendorID="102"> <files> net_rim_theme_114_320x240_b.cod net_rim_bb_media_100_five_icon_library.cod net_rim_tmo_five.cod </files> </fileset> <!-- Vodafone filesets --> <fileset series="8800|8300" Colour="True" Java="1.0" _vendorID="102"> <files> net_rim_theme_120_today_320x240_b.cod net_rim_theme_120_green_320x240_b.cod </files> </fileset> <!-- O2 filesets --> <fileset Colour="True" Java="1.0" series="8800|8300"> <files> net_rim_theme_125_today_320x240_b.cod </files> </fileset> <fileset Colour="True" Java="1.0" series="8800|8300"> <files> net_rim_theme_125_zen_320x240_b.cod </files> </fileset> <!-- Orange France filesets --> <fileset Colour="True" Java="1.0" series="8800|8300"> <files> net_rim_theme_119_icon_320x240_b.cod </files> </fileset> <!-- Rogers filesets --> <fileset Colour="True" series="8800|8300" Java="1.0" _vendorID="102"> <files> net_rim_theme_107_zen_320x240_b.cod </files> </fileset> <!-- Verizon US filesets --> |

Are they listed in the Options/Advanced Options/Applications/Menu/Modules list. Try deleting from there. Otherwise locate the ones you do not want on your BB in the Java subdirectory and delete it by name. Then reconnect and attempt to reinstall. But if you haven't already done it, before you do either, try a reboot. Rcbjr |

| Re: How to Unlock all Hidden and vendor themes.
Reread you post and just realized what the problem is. The easiest way to install the vendor themes is to remove the vendor id statement completely, which you have done in the ones in red. Go back an put the vendor id back in but don't use your vendor it, use the original. Rcbjr. |
