I hope this works on my 7520. I am so tired of my default theme and there are no other on it. Wish me luck!

Thanks very much for the help. I am trying to change the theme by changing permissions. However, although an option for "allow" does show up the "custom" does not change once I click "allow". Any ideas? Thanks again.

    edkinnaly, Welcome to PinStack.

Did you install both the Plazmic Theme reader and the theme file? If you installed it OTA, did you do a Cold Reboot (Battery Out, wait 15-30 sec, Battery Back in) after the installation?

Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with this problem or your BB.

Re: Themes: How To Find, Download, Install And Activate

Hello, new to Pinstack. I am so out of ideas, and I hope someone in this informed community can help.

I received a 7290 recently and wanted to spruce it up a bit. It had the default theme on it, so I downloaded the T-Mo theme (my carrier). Upon installing this via desktop software it turned all my icons to simplistic black and white icons that looked like they are from the very first BB ever made

So I looked up more themes, downloaded some for the plazmic theme reader after upgrading to handheld software v4.1.0.292. Installed the theme, then the reader, then pulled the battery for 30sec to reboot.

When I go to Option > Themes I see the themes, but when I select the theme and click the clickwheel the only choices I get are: Download Themes, Call Voice Mail, and Close. If I hit ENTER i get nothing. I cannot select another theme, it is stuck on NONE (ACTIVE).

What is the next step in trying to resolve this? I am running short on ideas

Nice, you didn't happen to delete the default theme did you? If so, I think you may have to reload the OS. How did you download the TMO Theme? Did you do a back up before you installed the TMO theme? If so, try restoring from that backup.

Re: Themes: How To Find, Download, Install And Activate

I didn't delete the default theme, at least not on purpose - but it sure seems like I did. I downloaded the TMO theme from some forum I was perusing that I have since lost. I loaded it via the Application Loader, it had a bunch of carrier themes in it like TMO, Vodaphone, O2, Orange, etc.

I didn't do a backup before I installed the theme, if I had to manually do that. I did sync it with computer.

How do I reload the OS? At this point and time I will take the default theme. I can't download the latest TMO handheld software, as it is unavailable on its site.

Yes, TMO site is having problems I hear. You could try the Cingular site until the TMO site is back up. You can find it Here.
how did you install the first set of downloaded themes? Make sure not to re-install them when you do the OS re-install.
Let us know how it works.
