Does anyone have a list explaining which number = which vendor? 102 = cingular etc.

Question Re: Easiest Method For Adding/Deleting Themes (Including Preloaded Themes)

How do you delete the ringtones for the 7100g with the 4.1 OS? I had tried to do it with the JL_Cmdr Javaloader in a command prompt from Windows XP but it keeps going to the JavaLoader Usage.

Re: Easiest Method For Adding/Deleting Themes (Including Preloaded Themes)

I must be doing something wrong. I have a Pearl 8100, runningv4.2.064 (platform 2.2.037). I have not been able to delete anything. When I enter the line as written in the instructions I recieve this error "is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file".

What am I doing wrong?

If you are running javaloader from the command prompt in windows, you must run the command from the directory where javaloader is located. If you attempt to run it from another directory, you'll get the errors described above...

Re: Easiest Method For Adding/Deleting Themes (Including Preloaded Themes)

Newbie here and I'm completely confused and sorry if i sound stupid. I'm wanting to delete at least 2 of my 4 preloaded themes, both being lists. I downloaded the Javaloader, tried installing it but it would just flash on my screen then it was gone.. I'm not sure if it's running in the background or something but Its not visible and not showing up in my programs list.

I'm also receiving the same error messages as above when I try to use the prompt in windows. Confused about running the command in the dir. where javaloader is located..wouldn't that be c:?

Ok, I finally got it to give me something other than 'javaloader' is not recognized as an internal or external command.. but I am still receiving an error..this time it says

Connected
Erasing
javaloader -usb erase –f net_rim_theme_bb_dimension_list_320x240
Error: Invalid Handle
Error: Module in use
Disconnected

What gives? I know that I'm not using the theme that I just tried deleting..

geek daddy,
I too am getting the same errors as other. I do not understand what you are referring to in your statement. Sorry if I sound stupid or anything, I'm relatively new to modding blackberrys so I still get confused.

ok, I have figured out another way to do it, but when i use apploader and update the phone, it boots back up gives an error null point error, then i don't have access to any of my ringtones that i downloaded myself. So i guess that means I cannot delete my preloaded ringtones, huh?
