    Unknown Application Icon

Need some help, recently there is this new icon that looks like a tape recorder appearing under the clock, the same type of small icons like mail notifier. It's killing me of not being able to find out what it was. The only new application I installed was gmail, but I have tried to remove it and the icon remains. Appreciate if I can get some help on how to tell what application it was and how do I get rid of it.

It's voicemail. You would have to call your carrier and tell them to take off any voice minutes you have on your plan and disable the voicemail service.

Did you do a battery pull for at least 20 seconds?
Also, you might try leaving yourself a vm, and deleting it. Make sure that after deleting it, exit the vm system by pressing * before hanging up.
Let us know if this helps!

abonter - someone else had this issue earlier, and i think they were also from canada...its a carrier issue. you should call them...i'll find the thread and repost.

also...idk what will happen if you put in a 'cingular' sim in a 'tmo' phone if its NOT unlocked...but if its unlocked, its fine
