Is this true? I've spent a lot of time downloading and installing software. I'm not finished yet, but don't want to get to the end only to find out it's incompatible with VISTA - I'll be soooo disappointed.

Yes it's really true ... I made it through all the steps successfully and found I can't even install Plazmic on VISTA.

Plazmic will only install on Windows 2000 Pro or Windows XP Pro. Major bummer...

ok, i am using a windows computer right now, and i havent started this yet, because i am working, but i am converting to a mac in about a week, is there anyway i can build themes for my pearl on a mac?

Okay, so I did everything step by step. When I run the Theme Builder it says "A Required Source Was" and then freezes. I press okay a couple times, then it goes to the program. But when you try to change something, it gives me the same message again. Help!?

I just downloaded the files and started installing them. From what I was able to tell, the reason you get the error message on Step #4 is it appears step #4 involves installing an upgrade to step #3 to make sure you have the latest version. It appears that the current upgrade is the same as the current version that is available for download (version 11).

When I click new to make a new theme, under base themes I only see them based on the 8100 and nothing else. Is there any way to make one for the 8800 or did plazmic not update the program to do that yet or am I missing something?

plazmic hasn't issed a theme creator for the 8800 yet.

I have Java Runtime Enviro 5.0 Version 11 installed. I'm still getting an error message when I try to run the program and the icons don't show up. It says "A Required Resource was", and that's it. It freezes up when I try to change plastics or fonts or almost anything. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing twice. I got it to open up once and I actually changed some fonts and stuff. But the next time it just gave me the error again. I'm running highly capable machine. Can anyone help?

#3 link and #4 link dont work for me, it asks me to go to the download page, but doesnt view any files, i think sun changed something so the links don't work

candor - somehow you found you way to a theme builder install thread...

are you trying to install desktop manager?

i would recommend running the corresponding digits...some have gotten it to work, but with some bugs...
