I'm creating my own themes but when I export it I'm told that the original source is over 60kb. It down't matter how small i shrink it, I can't use it because it originated from a source over 60kb. Any ideas anyone?

    Re: Image too large?

So you have everything saved as a gif? I havent made any themes in a few months but if I remember right that is what fixed my problems.

    Re: Image too large?

I tried the info given in the link, but it's still a no go. Resized the pic to 314 x 210 and saved it as a GIF and it's still a no go for launch.

    Re: Image too large?

yep chris is right ^^ save it as a png - plazmic will try and convert it to a png anyway, and thats the reason why you are getting errors.

    Re: Image too large?

Yep, just tried and got the exact same error message. When I go over the pic it tells me that it's now at something like 14kb and it's still not working. Is the problem that I'm resaving the picture on the same theme. Should I have to creat a whole new theme even though I'm overwriting the old one?

    Re: Image too large?

All the pics that I have in my Theme are png and way under 60kb. I'm not sure what the issue is.

    Re: Image too large?

When any image processing app tries to convert a. Jpg or gif file to png, there is a increase in the stored file size. The resulting png file (for all images used) must be less than 60 Kbytes

You can play with the conversion settings or the number of colors used to reduce the png file to less than 60 Kbytes.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~have you tried lowering the resolution? 75 should be plenty. Just a thought
