How to Remove Carrier Name from HomeScreen?

    Hi

Is there a possibility to remove the carriers' name?

(The Text inside the red border)

    http :// i81.imagethrust.com/i/947454/tmobilezen.jpg

I really like the T-Mobile Zen Theme stored in net_rim_theme_100_240x260_b.cod. I tried to open it in Plazmic CDK 4.2.2 to modify it, but it can't import this filetype :/

Is there a solution, maybe a small application?

    Thanks in advance!

The only way I know how is by creating your own theme. Then you can leave that off the theme, or move it to another area of the screen.

edit: just in case you aren't familiar with doing this, try these links:

Yes I thought about creating my own theme. But maybe it's possible to hack the cod-file. The position of the objects should be stored inside the cod. But I don't know where. Have found things like this:

    Code:
    x-object:/CurrentDateTime?font-family=BannerTime&width=89&clocktype=time&align=center
Maybe simply set width to 0 so it's not seen on screen. But I can't find the Carrier thing, maybe it has a different name... The only object aligned to center is "layout?ids=banner_Roaming;banner_SystemStatus"

I think the carrier information is sent via the system status. It would make sense since that is also where you see "Data Connection Refused" when you don't have a plan.

I believe this will not work. I've replaced a PNG inside the cod, reinstalled the simulator. The simulator doesn't load the modified cod :/ pity

I removed mine by making it so tiny you cant see it... also made it match the background color it was on..... Now I don't see the annoying AT&T

Yep, I've startet to make my own Theme. It's 99% done... have to do the rest of the Profile-Icons (the tiny Speaker at the Banner)...

    Edit

I've did it: CLEAN ZEN v1_0_17

that's the best way. you can also hide it behind your profile icon if its big enough. remember that it isn't ONLY the carrier name, but also doubles as 'header title' when scrolling over specific mailbox icons and your sms icon too...
