    Desktop Install wrecks Network

I have been trying to install the APPS at home to allow me to create themes. Everytime I install the Blackberry desktop on my home computer, it ruins network connectivity for all of my home machines. Is it running a DHCP server or something?

    Thanks for any help

(I have it installed on my work computer where it works fine, and is synching with BES)

I only want the stuff at home for theme development, no synching

do you have a firewall installed?

you need to be more specific on your specs.

    PC OS?
    DM Version?

Just a hunch -- when you install the Blackberry Desktop Manager it asks you, "BES or BIS?" Did you answer that properly?

    Additonal Info

I have everything installed and working properly on my work machine (I do use BES). I am trying to install it on my home machine (where I don't need to synch anything but just want to do theme development).

Wasn't sure which to select BES or BIS for the home machine (although I tried both). Firewall is turned off on this machine (I have a Linux box xontrolling that at the router).

Windows Vista is the OS for the home machine.
