Almost three years ago vyperz posted a concise list of the downloads needed for Theme Development. While still usable, the links and versions have long since changed.

Here is a revised list. I've modified it so that there are links to the general sections as well as the current versions of the software as of 11/23/08. Hopefully even if the direct links to specific versions become outdated, the links to the general location to find them will remain valid.

Ok, I am looking for some help please. I have all of the programs for creating themes. I have created a couple of my own themes, but I cannot figure out exactly how to get them to my phone or posted to a site to share them. Can anyone help please? I have followed every guide I can find and it always seems to have a step or two missing so it just doesnt work.

Ok, I got a quick question, as this thread seems to be best place to ask. I want to start building themes, but because I'm a total newb at theme building, I just want to make sure these pre req's are up-to-date for what I need. I know 4.7 beta was released, and also the 4.7 Blackberry Java Development Environment too.

Can someone please give me an up-to-date list of what I need to have installed on my Vista PC to create themes?

As far as I know, inorder to create themes for the storm/8900/8350i you will *only* need plazmic's CDK *beta* 4.7 (still very buggy) so be patient when creating themes with it and save after every window ofr if you wait till the very end, it will crash and you'd have to restart all over agaian. So, to answer your question I only use 4.7 beta to create themes for those 3 new devices for all others I use the official 4.6 CDK plazmic release.
