Re: Building Blackberry themes using Plazmic Theme Builder

OK, PTB sucks!

Well, not completely, but...

I have created really great theme (OK, it needs some polishing) but found terrible problem: I can NOT change font color in RIM applications!
Of course, theme has mostly BLACK background, and font in most applications is, "suprisingly", black.
So complete theme concept is crashed if I change application background to any color but black.
Also, cursor color does not change everywhere to color I define - it stays kinda "RIM defined" blue...

Any suggestions?

Re: Building Blackberry themes using Plazmic Theme Builder

I just updated the Smoothie Theme to make the fonts smaller. When I installed it on my BB 7520, the menu and other fonts are BBMillibank size 8 but the message list (i.e, email messages and phone log) are still in a larger font like size 10. Is there a way that I can control the size of the fonts in these lists too?

Re: Building Blackberry themes using Plazmic Theme Builder

Yes, I tried to change the size on the Screen/Keyboard option but it only changes the font size of the menus, headings, and popup messages. I'm still looking to see maybe if there is some other setting I can use to change the message and phone list. Any other suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks!

Re: Building Blackberry themes using Plazmic Theme Builder

in plazmic (im sorry, i've only used v4.2 PTB) does it have the choice under edit to 'change fonts'?
i would start there first. maybe you should make them even smaller. i know the font size in PTB doesn't match the 'number size' on the bb.

Thumbs up Re: Building Blackberry themes using Plazmic Theme Builder

Hi there... I'm a newbie w/ the Red Pearl 8100. I read all of the instructions on how to create and build your own themes, installed all that was required and got right down to it. I successfully made a new theme, downloaded it on to my blackberry via DM, activated it, and everything works perfectly. Now, after following all of the instructions, making my new theme, activating it on my device successfuly, the one thing I can not figure out, simply because I guess I just don't understand the whole process is how to upload the theme to make it available for a friend via OTA (its not something that I want to publically share, its more personal) I don't have my own web site and I know there are sites out there where you can upload and share files for free, but I guess I can't just upload the .jad file, because it needs more than just that to process (I'm guessing). So could someone please explain the process (in real simple language) to someone who doesn't have their own web server... and really doesn't understand the "conversion" process" even if I did have my own.

Thank you!
