Funny, this was retweeted on Twitter by a Stacker who's a BlackBerry user, javatyger. We miss you, Lonnie!

Great article and I think everything is true. I think the jailbreakers who get free apps are understated in this article though. I think they account for a good portion of the jailbreakers. The common theme you get from people is "I get free apps to test them but once I like the app, I buy it". I find that hard to believe myself. I think it gets people out of a bind when they get caught on youtube trying to show viewers a tweak and we end up seeing install0us.
Nevertheless, jailbreaking to me is a win-win-win for users, Apple, and 'tweakers' who do tweaks as a hobby or testing their ideas trying to get noticed by Apple. I think the only semi-loss is the developers who have their apps virtually stolen.

The free stuff is nice, but I keep mine JB for the customization benefits. Really only have a few games and ten or so really useful apps. I do like the themes though.

    Hear, hear guys.
JB is the way to go.
But as Glenn points out, the apps that are worth it, and usually cost money, are few. And they must be useful. Themes are ok to break the boredom.
As for games... I download and soon delete them.
The iPhone is great, yes, if jailbroken!

To be honest I prefer the JB i4 to the Inspire.
