    Makes me wonder -- with that much of a head start, how did Palm manage to fail so badly? They literally had a 10+ year head start.

    I think they made the exact same mistake Nokia is making now - dominating the industry, then simply resting on their laurels while other companies took the lead. Hopefully, with all the changes at Nokia this past week, they will recover - but it may be too late for Palm

    I saw that Microsoft is paying nokia billions (literally) in order to accept them as their main platform instead of Android.

    People were cheering on the doom for RIM. Fantasizing about it. They never thought Nokia would so publicly fall on it's face. They do so well over seas, I would have thought they would have lasted a bit longer.

    WP7 hasn't been a shining star either.

    It's going to be interesting to see good hardware matched with a OS that's been abysmal so far with basic functions.
