    It can only mean higher prices (less competition) in the long term. I think T-Mobil, in the area of price (not service,) is one of the lower-based mobile companies. That'll disappear if/when they get gobbled up by AT&T.

    I guess I don't understand the concerns over higher pricing. Not saying that it won't happen. It's just that I think AT&T is smart enough to know that people are going to believe that their rates will be increased and will do everything in their power to keep that from happening. I think they would want to avoid losing customers to what will now be their main competition.....Verizon.....by doing something like that.

    Maybe I'm just looking at it all through rose-colored glasses, but I think we need to wait and see what transpires if/when this merger is completed.
