Article: RIM soon to announce BlackBerry music service, but why?
I don't get this music service business anyway I carry the music I want to hear on my SD Card and grab just what I want when I want
Well I am not sure that the comment about BES is entirely true, apparently in Europe particularly the UK BBM is very popular amongst the youth (Riots a case in point) therefore a music service may be something they would want.
I tend to agree do we really need another music service (with Amazon cloud, Google music, Rhapsody, Itunes, plus all the internet radios out there)? Still maybe someone has done their homework and asked the consumer (what am I saying ask the consumer? Silly me that would be too much to ask for).
I agree with both of the above comments.....there may be a strategic marketing reason RIM is doing this but the bulk of the BB users will just copy a tune from their CD or download a song from Amazon.....
It's the carriers, man. They are just pure evil.
They prolly demanded that RIM do something to their phones to eat up more data.
Who knows whats up with RIM these days. Anything they do seems to miss the mark and a little pathetic.
I just remembered!
One night a few years ago, I was sexting this hot classsy bird on BBM, and I thought to myself; wouldn't it be great if we could be listening to the same song to enhance our night of passion?!
Way to go RIM, way to go.
I do not understand the point either.
I play song that are stored on my microSD card or I stream Pandora, TuneInRadio, or Nobex. I am not a business user, but I would not pay for any additional music services.
Here is Rim addressing the wrong problems for their market once more.
I know they are preparing to be bought by Apple,
