Texas not doing so well! This leads to the question though, how many people use Wireless connectivity rather than wired? If you are using wireless at home the speed is a pretty mute point as most people are probably on laptops with Wireless A/b or G or if they have a new computer they may be using N. If these figures are truly KBPs which is KiloBytes/sec this would be way faster the 54 Mbps (Mega bits per second) so the internet would be as fast as the wifi which normally would be running at 20-30 Mbps. If however the figures are in Kbps (Kilobits per second then the wifi is far higher and everyone should be upset at having a slow internet speed! What is even more annoying is that the upload speed would be lower than the download speed.
So we need to be sure about terminology KBps (Kilo Bytes per second) 8 bits to a byte, Kbps (Kilo bits per second) Now I am confused so I hope you all are

Well I'm from Idaho and that doesn't surprise me cause 95% is country and rural, I was a bit surprised by Utah but I guess when most of the population is along the Wasatch Front it would make sense. Just read this morning that Utah County would be getting 4G woohoo

    Exactly.

My old place I was getting 25mb down, and i just automatically assumed that this new place would be the same.

I guess thats a new question I need to ask when I plan on moving." Whats your internet speeds like"
