Yep ! I'm getting some hiccups with it and I can't figure out why.
    But it's still the best.

I'll check it if I get a notification, but other than that, I never use it.

Their biggest failure - getting an API out so that people can integrate. The reason Facebook, twitter, and all the other social services could take their time is because they needed to gain an audience. Google hit the ground running with thousands of users instantly. THe problem is these users wanted integration into Facebook, twitter, movie services, post services, IM, etc...

I posted on Google+ today the same question and guess what? Not one answer which leads me to believe no one is using it.

So we are concluding this is orkut #2?

Jokes aside, I think it appeals to a very particular community which uses it heavily. I am looking at my "recent" and there are about 30+ people using it every few hours -- but that's it -- it's to 30+ people. Not the other 100+ people I know.

and to add -- my gripe is still API and making it work with other things. I would be more than willing to link google+ to my twitter posts the way I have facebook. About 1/3rd of the comments on my twitter posts come through facebook. Google was just slow to roll it out. I think they got burned by buzz where people started writing 3rd party stuff so fast that the main site never caught on. Here they made the opposite mistake. I still think they have some great concepts in Google+ which combine the best of facebook and twitter. At the end, it will probably become more like a social RSS community

I do use it but it is not my 1st port of call...perhaps my 29th port and that is just to look what Wil Wheaton and Felicia Day are doing.
