Thanks again Srl - I went and checked and guess what ? I had it running already (in Portugal, can you believe it?) and wasn´t aware of it. Now I know why I have to validate my mail accounts everytime I switch between phones. And this has been going on for a while now, at lest 3 to 4 weeks. Goodness, I´m a little dense for not seeing this !
Also, the facilities are also running !

This update should make a lot of people happy. While I don't use a BB anymore I know for sure It would have been making my day.

    I guess I'm a Googler and Google-ized.

About time. Been waiting for this for quite a while. It was really the only update included in BIS 3.0 that I was looking forward to and at the last minute, RIM said, "nope, not this time".

It's part of BIS. If you have a data plan and use a GMAIL account on your device, it's automatic.

Is working great on my T-Mobile 9700. I didn't even know I had it (hadn't been on Pinstack today yet) and when I sent an email on my computer, it appeared as a sent email on my BB - WOW!

Has anyone had any luck getting the Gmail 2-way sync to work on a Blackberry running on BES? Or is it for BIS only? Thanks...

Update: Sent mail syncs 2-way, but it doesn't mark e-mail read or delete from handheld when deleted on desktop.

I have data plan on my BlackBerry.
It's required to have Data plan to use a Blackberry.

And I have 1 Gmail account.

Actually you do NOT need a data plan to utilize a BlackBerry. While some carriers have required you to have one to purchase a smartphone from them, it's not necessary to simply use the device. While you won't have data access (unless you have wi-fi), you can still use the device's calendar and other features.
