They do have a major advertising problem. They should push the Playbook's multitasking capability, the number of times I have wanted to through the IPad at the wall through frustration, cos I have to keep opening and shutting things and loosing my place while on the Playbook it just works. Why don't they push the BB integration more, should even had a deal to purchase phone and playbook together and a discounted rate! They have fallen down big time on demonstrating their capabilities to the extent that every comment you see is negative..for example Apple has teased with the release of the Iphone 5 for ages, people want to buy without seeing it, RIM releases info early and everyone gets upset at waiting and complains that RIM cant get their act together.

Why is it the tablet that everything is judged by, cannot multi task without a jailbreak, has no productivity software installed out of the box, requires constant purchasing of "extras" yet is loved by the press so much that very little advertising is required?

Extensive summary. RIM just needs to get it together. New marketing scheme and some executives who are in touch with the marketplace.

I have not seen any advertising for the Playbook or any BlackBerry devices in at least 1 1/2 years.

"There is an app for that." Actually, the apps are the main selling point. Even if many apps are useless to the majority of users, with the quantity of apps available, there are bound to be apps for just about anything users want. Also, pricing of apps makes a difference. Many of the same apps available for BlackBerry are more expensive and offer fewer features than their iOS counterparts.
