I think it's a mistake to zero in on the phone. As a truck driver, I see folks reading newspapers, putting on makeup, smacking kids in the backseat, tuning the radio ect. ect. One law governing "distracted driving" should be it. If you take your eye's off the road for over two seconds, you're in trouble in traffic especially. What's the next monster the safetycrats go after...a girl in a bikini? They never talk about all the lives cellphones have saved with immediate accident locations, calls for domestic disturbance, abducted children sightings, officer down reports, drunk driver reports and a host of other uses. Lets not paint ourselves into a corner, and throw the baby out with the bathwater....
