    That would be about what I figured the price range would be in U.S. mint. Can't get much anymore for much less that $700. New devices that is. Still like the look and specs on the Note 3 just not sure on the S-pen dependency.

    Samsung is pricing itself out of the market. Building on its past success, it now wants to create some form of exclusivity for their phones. That's not their playing field. People in the EU will look for alternatives.
    Since I'm getting one for a review, next Monday Sept 16, I'm also privy to the retail prices when it lands. It's going to go for 899,90Euros unlocked. Within 2 weeks of launch the (already) suggested retail will drop to 849,90Euros. Vodafone, Optimus and TMN will ask for 649,90Euros, contract, locked for two years.
    This folks, borders on the ridiculous!
    It's a good smartphone no doubt, but at that price I don't want a Samsung. Or anything Korean.
