I hear ya Jay, that's what they are really after, market shares. I cut them some slack on the patent trial, but now they are just plain greedy and mean. I would feel the same way if the shoe was on the other foot. they are not winning all the wars in other countries, so they'll set up full scale battle in USA

Ford just patented keys to unlock, push button to unlock, and pull handle to unlock.

I ask this again -- universal search? How...

It seems that Android pushed out universal search MUCH before apple.

I wonder if Motorola has patented 'push button to power phone'?
And 'press volume button to change volume'?

My youngest, Ethan, owns a iPod touch and had brought it last week when the verdict had been handed down. I was trying yo argue here and both he and Hunter were curious about why I felt so strongly. We discussed it a bit and put in Hunger Games to watch.

There's a scene in the movie of the control room of the games. All the screens are touch operated and several instances where "pinch to zoom" are mimicked.

Ethan wanted to know in earnest if Panem would be sued. Hunter replied "Then Apple would run the games....Daddy would have to fight his internet friends."

    Dibs on the bow.

My youngest wants to bail on Apple.....
Reluctantly I told him his touch was a good device and he should continue using.

Besides, I'm sure it will meet an unfortunate accident soon enough....

My daughter loves them both. She loves the screen on the ipod, but adores the customization of Android. She prefers a jailbroken idevice though.

Ethan, God love him, just wants to annoy daddy. Everyone else uses Android devices.

I think the thing was he asked his mom for this not knowing there were Android music only devices.

My oldest has a knock off tab running froyo, but uses my wife's kindle and his grandfather's note. He's Android all the way.

Truth be told they are free to choose as they wish. I just influence them simply because I'm their dad.
