I wonder how many people are going to be taking humidity tests when their making mud?

Awesome specs, don't like the plastic, of course, but overall a great device that has some gimmicky but fun features that I would like to try.

So been reading the reviews, and I am sure it's a great device, but it's not what the early hype was building people up to. It doesn't make coffee, you can't stand on it and ride it like a hoverboard, and this the problem. The industry has evolved to such a level that incremental upgrades every 6mths will not be amazing IPhone 4 4S 5S are good examples Samsung are going the same way. Really the Z10 is pretty different, but doesn't have the Apps.

    Have to wait and see

I don't think people expected much on the tech side of it, but aesthetics needed to be changed. Not because it's simply plastic, but because it's ugly.

I enjoy my S3, but it's the first phone that I've had that has me completely bored with the hardware. It's bland and on a rainy day it doesn't inspire me to do art things.

I'm disappointed...expected something much better such as a foldable phone. the folds in half and unfolds when you wish to see a video or browse also was hoping it would come in 3D . sorry....my expectations were so high.

I was hoping to see edge to edge.
I wasn't expecting too big a change in design, just figured it wouldn't change.

What I did see was Samsung adding features to an already solid device. The update brings some pretty cool features in the camera and expanded sharing (if your into that), swype keyboard, HD screen, and some potentially cool health (limited use I guess) features.

As far as my thoughts on design (only what I see, haven't held) larger screen in nearly same size package. I like the note but its huge. A 5" screen that fits in my hand works for me. Thinner...eh OK. I think something can be too thin. As for the plastic, I'm fine with it. I disagree on all this metal talk, but that's just preference. I disagree with cheap (except for battery doors) feeling.

I don't know if this is a win or not. I read Samsung intends to update the S3 with some of the 4's features. Maybe we will pass on this in October, I can't say until I get to hold one. I've pretty much decided the January upgrade will wait for whatever comes next.

Since I always have some sort of case on my devices, the plastic door doesn't bother me that much.

Has there been an announcement for the next Note yet? Gonna see what's up with that, then make a decision between the S4 and the new Note.

I don't see it as such. Different CPU, more added features, increased battery size, larger screen with 441 DPI.

When's the release? Is it Verizon too? What's the full retail? I'm tempted to to get one to just play with.

Late April in UK, guessing close to that in us.
Guess full will be $499 for 16gb.
I have seen multiple reports that AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile will have it. T-Mobile has a "more info" link I think to get updates. I've seen only one report last night that Verizon will carry. I can't see why they wouldn't.

I'd like to hear your impressions. I know you won't like the build, but interested in your thoughts on everything else.
