With Samsung agreeing with Google to cut down on customization of Android OS, the S5 is gonna be a whopper, and the last of the old Galaxy line. So yeah I am thinking its gonna be a big change. 64bit system and all.
Planneau, you're dreaming bud. 64 bit yes, but only for some apps Sammy has prepared. Bloat! It will be a long while for other apps to catch up. Also, the trimming of TW to appease Google is also a couple of generations into the future. Like you say, a new series of Android phones. And then there is Tizen...
I'm not overly optimistic for the S5. Maybe an edge to edge screen?
I have to agree. The lead time for the OS is long. There's not enough time before supposed launch to trim TW. I've seen SVoice rework, its cleaner, slimmed a bit, but still useless with Google Now installed.
Can't tell you how much you can uninstall (if rooted) of TW and have a better device. Samsung's hardware is great, but TW is just ruining it.
At this point the S5 will need to be gorgeous and speedy for me to show any interest. The 805 doesn't add enough over the 800 for my interest. The screen sounds good but how much juice will it need? A bigger battery is great but not if its just to offset usage from that screen.
LG has done something with that G2. Absolutely amazing life with a great screen. Mine will be back this week and I'm not sure if I won't switch back to it.
Having 3 devices sucks. I can't make up my mind....although the S4 is just sitting boxed up. Think the battery is even dead.
