At least he admits to it. And learn he will, I assure you...I just hope he puts all this knowledge to good use.

I'm sure every CEO does this. Do you honestly believe that the guy that runs Pepsi never drinks a Coca-Cola every now and then?

That might very well be why they are where ther are today. The previous co-ceo's only used RIM products. He should always have the latest device so he knows what areas they could improve on. Smart move on his part.

If the BB survives, it will be an awesome device. It's one of those "we learned from our mistakes" thing, but it might be too late.

If you believe that you are the best or have the best product without continuously monitoring your competition something is going to sneak up and put you down. Hollywood believes they are the best, have they looked at Hollywood or Chinese Hong Kong movies? Apple certainly monitors its competition

Steve Wozniak no longer actively works for Apple, although he is still a shareholder; however, he tries all the new smartphones and frequently offers his opinion about various devices.

Steve Wozniak likes everything that is new, the latest.
That's how innovation is supposed to be perceived and encouraged.
You stick to old material stuff you'll get old yourself.
