Good article Jay Yarrow - Plastic vs Metal is largely a matter of taste, and with all the covers available these days, plastic vs metal is largely irrelevant.

    No.

anyone that would use a case as ugly as that one should not be able to write about anything that involves aesthetics.

I agree with Cap. I'd like to see Jay Yarow's pocket protector. I'm sure he has one.

its strange. apple fans will always refer to exterior(body) where as Android fans will always refer to interior(processor/chip set/gpu)

as for me I just refer to functions and features. that's what makes a phone a great phone for me.

Me too. Functions and features. But I admit exterior body is a primary concern. Processor and chip is secondary.
Regarding phones it's a little different though!

Plastic vs Metal is irrelevant, I tell you, irrelevant. Unless you have a practical reason like the author - multiple phone drops - you're only killing your own precious brain cells by worrying about how your phone "looks". I don't have that many brain cells left, so they are precious.

Besides, from what I've seen, most users of either metal or plastic encase their devices in a protective covering anyway - and hey, nobody is making you look at their phone. Brain cells. Precious.

I've seen this over at the local T-Mobile store. It's nice, but not enough interior padding. They don't make it for the newest devices, either.

Unlocking seems to be a tad physical and tiring...
