It looks like they have just added the Symbian and Microsoft projections together, It is also interesting to note that there is a downward trend happening from 2009 forward of the all but Android and Microsoft.
When looking at this we should also take into account that they are predicting 3+ years hence Microsoft has just purchased Skype for 8.5 Billion, what effect will this have, will they purchase any one, for example the earlier article about purchasing RIM?
Microsoft will probably have a better chance of competing with Android as it has a similar business model, software being place on multiple phone manufacturers, with integration into desktop software, Apple IOS on the other hand is limited to their own manufacture, which while it is a good solid phone, with an innovative operating system may not be able to keep up in the manufacturing sense with multiple companies making multiple phones,

And of course as with everything "there are lies, damned lies and statistics" (Disraeli), for those of you who say it was a quote from Mark Twain, check his autobiography and you will find he quotes Disraeli. Just a thought

The article also assumes that the current Symbian users will stay with Nokia/Windows phones. It does not take into consideration the fact that many of those users are switching to Android.
