The more I hear about this the more I am intrigued.
I may take a hard look at this when upgrade time approaches.

For someone such as yourself. This will probably be a great device. I just don't see it making a dent in the loyal Samsung users.

    Maybe, maybe not.
If Samsung splinters and develops their own real os or forks wildly from vanilla I can see some defectors.

I like Samsung because I've had almost no trouble from the hardware on any of the 6 devices I've had over the years. I'm not a fan if touchwiz at all. The features added aren't worth the overhead, and I like vanilla android.

I've run tw only on the S2 and the galaxy tab 10. That was because vanilla just wasn't available at the time I owned them.

For all the complaints about plastic, the hardware has been spot on with little trouble. Rooting is simple and Samsung is pretty good about getting source released.

Google is apparently killing the huge bezel and angular styling of past motos. Now I'm hoping the days of locked down bootloaders are over. If that's the case then I'll look at this closely.

If motoblur is a thing of the past you may see many a Samsung fan switch. It won't bother Sammy at first but it has potential.

Oh, and I'd expect updates to be pretty quick given Google owning Moto.
