    Wish all judges followed this line of thinking. Of course he's right, the system allows it, and the patent office and process needs to be overhauled.

    It would be stagnation.

    If everyone is able to ride other companys patents, why would anyone spend money on R&D when you can just see what company X is doing and copy everything they do. Bad idea if you ask me.

    We need a new law that gives any company a few weeks to change whatever code to whatever patent that is being infringed, and if not met then a ban will ensue.

    I like the current model, you know the one that makes you one up the competition with innovating new ideas.

    A programmer would also question do we need the law to settle this or just go out there and take law onto our own hands? Do we even need the law?
