I agree. It has the ability to be quick and very secure. The only issue that I see is where the data for that is stored. I'm just a little uneasy about giving up that particular piece of security. I'm sure this has/will be addressed if it does come to fruition in the next iPhone.

I'm sure it would be stored locally just like a password.

So no backup. Does that get reset if you restore? Just a few questions I still have.

I hope this thing comes out before October. I'm going sailing and snorkeling, a nice new camera would be cool. Especially with the lifeproof. I doubt it though, but one can hope.

Maybe a passcode backup? Or a security question? I would think a restore would wipe it all.

Yea. A restore like new would. From a backup. I don't know man. Just seems such a personal thing. It's not like a password where you can change it. I'm still on the fence. Hopefully we'll see it.

IMO it's wait and see. It could become an hindrance. I would consider it only to safeguard important personal information within an app. The rest will just get in the way. It's like face recognition on Droid. Who uses it?

It is personal but no more info than your bartender gets on a regular basis. It's not like a SS# or bank number. Not sure what someone could do with that info. Frame you for some crime of the century?

My Nexus does. I would imagine the S4 does also. Should be in your unlock settings.

Atrix had fingerprint scanner built onto the top of it.
    Didn't take off.
    Neither has facial recognition.

With all due respect. I think we can both agree that there is a huge difference to Android/Google doing something. To when Apple does it. NFC and Google Wallet hasn't taken off either and has been around for quite sometime now. If it comes out with the next iPhone, that will change. It's still Apples market. Nothing happens in a big way until they get involved. Regardless of who may have done what first.

Like dropdown notifications or quick toggles or larger screens or maps?

Never saw the "S" coming (they really should work on their naming)

I hope the fingerprint scanner is much better than "face unlock"- you can use a photo of the owner to unlock the device (tried and tested on friends LG optimus L9 )
