And if you've recently jailbroken your device, do NOT download this update!

Doesn't seem like there's that much to this update, though.

Does anybody know if it fixes the infamous battery issue?

Almost exclusively a battery fix. Again, DO NOT update your iOS to 5.1 if you are jailbroken.

I've been (seriously) looking at what I'd like to see iOS sort out. What I consider amongst other pundits as essential fixes. I mean, why resort to a jailbreak to make the iPhone a better product? I'm going to see if I can put it up tomorrow, or this weekend.
Having said all that, I was really expecting 5.1 to me more complete, rounded off, but as Rog says, there's not much to this upgrade. Apparently battery drain has been addressed. And we can delete photos from the stream...
Will I upgrade ? Nope. JB is still the way to go.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this or not, but do not update to 5.1 if you are jailbroken.

Just thought I would stop by and remind everyone that if you update your jailbroken phone you will surely lose your jailbreak.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

Not only that but you'll also lose your jailbreak.

I wouldn't do it-too risky. You'll surely lose your jailbreak. Then your home, and possibly your family. It's just not worth it.
