    Well I would be the first one to say that the latest DSLR's would most definitely outclass any smartphone camera, (as an owner of a very good Nikon DSLR with excellent lenses and a Nokia 1020) I am confident of that, however in the end the best camera available for the interesting shot is the one in your hand. I don't always have my DSLR with me, I do always have the Nokia. I am sure those of you that have the IPhone 5S or Samsung Galaxy or any other Android or Blackberry would agree with me. It is great to be in a position to see a photo opportunity and have my Nikon available, but I really like the fact that I know I am going to get a really good picture even when I am not lugging it around.

    I agree. My DSLR is for special and PLANNED occasions. The smartphone, on the other hand, is for every time, everywhere, anywhere.
