I agree with both of you, but I want to just add what del hinted at. There may be some increased drain, then again it may just be exaggerated a bit.
It will get sorted. I wonder how much drain comes from users having every card on. Weather updates I think up to 2 times. Then there's the Activity card that tracks walking distance. Quite a few cards, with all on it will hit the battery.
Add to the fact its new and users tend to be super sensitive to new apps and their data/battery usage.
The way I see things, this hoopla is all about having a "new" app to play with. Facebook for instance, if used constantly with all the settings on will drain the battery even more. As I said, I have Now on 24hrs and I don't notice any more battery drain than what I used to. It depends also on how you use it and knowing that iSheep are now hogging the new app (not much else happening on iOS) then you'll understand why the battery is going flat...
