Article: Google Maps loses out to Apple Maps among iOS users
I had both installed at one point. Now no just use Apple Maps. I found that Apple Maps loads locations very quickly compared to Google. Accuracy isn't an issue anymore for Apple. He only thing I can see that Google has over Apple now is still information about places on the map. They still have a good lead in that category. Also with the purchase of Waze and now adopting their live accident reporting, it's more social and can be up to date faster.
iOS Maps, here where I am, still has hordes of errors and lots of searches return zero. I can't understand this because Navteq supplies the maps and know -how, and TomTom works just fine.
