I've run Windows 8 Developer in VMware on my PC. The Metro UI would be nice for use on a tablet. However, it is not at all desktop-friendly. I probably will skip the Windows 8 upgrade on my desktop, unless the GUI is made more suitable for use on non-touchscreen PCs.
