Quick way to stop Patent Battles, (why didn't Samsung do this), Apple has some really smart lawyers. Still looks like it is still going ahead. Talking about e-mail, how come RIM didn't get unhappy with everyone copying Push technology, or were they not the first to have this?

^^^depends on the quality of the lawyers, the different national laws. Holland and Germany are widely different. Not to mention the UK. If you travel south, Roman Law is worse. But since all these lawyers (apparently) work only with commission from positive results, it all depends how hungry they are.
RIM on the other hand probably have them on a retainer. Well fed...peaceful Canadians.
