This type of "innovation" hoopla and creating high expectations amongst Sammy's customer base, is demeaning. We blame Apple with iOS and the small screen. What about this? Meh is right.
Another thing. They state the retail price is going to be lower than the S3 and S4. It's easy to see why. Phhhttt...!

I see Samsung doing the same thing as Apple now. Minor improvements each year.
This won't be on my list of devices this year.

Looking to see what the G3 is, but will wait on next Nexus. No sense in buying this if all I'd do is root and add AOSP. Can do that with an S4.

Waterproofing is all well and good, but should be a standard feature on all phones. I don't care about fingerprint scanners, or revamped TW. I'm sure there will be a ton of new software features, but who uses them?

Nokia X is a let down as well. Seems they're trying to do the WinPhone+Android-Google=Emerging markets/budget thing. Don't see it. Bet the hardware feels great but the hoops for apps will hurt. Side load or hope the Dev will add code and hope for approval....good luck with that.

Its the Nexus life for me. Loving the N7/N5 combo.

The Nexus is the best there is. I've been telling you that for ages. So has Rdills.
Nokia X ? That wont get off the starting gate in the US and EU. It's meant for the "in betweeners" like Asia and Africa.

I don't think it's Apple and Samsung to blame. I think the blame lies squarely on the users unrealistic expectations. These phones are pretty high tech and most of the improvements and innovation will be coming in small chunks. Every few years you might get a mind blowing innovative concept but those are not going to be coming every year.

    Finger print scanner...pretty cool.

Waterproof is a game changer in my mind (as I've said before). Sure it should be a standard feature on all phones BUT IT"S NOT.

    Camera improvements....Of course...

The metal chassis we all wanted has given way to a plastic back cover full of holes...

Who is we? You got a mouse in your pocket? I wouldn't trade removable battery and SD card for metal. I agree with "Meh". So far this doesn't look like an upgrade for me.

So there was no mention made of the "premium" versions of these devices today, despite the rumors of such?

Look at the current G2. Save for the camera, waterproofing and fingerprint thing, its a better deal.

This device is pretty much "last year"or more of the same.

Unless its cheaper, I only see hardcore upgrades from the s3. If you have an s4 there's nothing to see.

I guess the "premium ***" feeling you get if you upgrade from an S4

What SoC does it have, I can't find anything on it? Snapdragon 800 or 805?

Never mind, its an 800. Same as the G2 and Nexus.....and a whole bunch of devices launched last year...good job Sammy!

So a s4 running AOSP would trump the Nexus?
