I think this is lesson that everyone should learn as I would bet that a lot of people login to unsecured wifi hotspots and do not think about hackers. This is dangerous with any device (computers particularly since they have far more information on them). I would not do any banking or such through a unsecure hotspot!!
Go to the next stage how many people out there set up their home network without a password, and when they do have a password use a really simple one. Again people can sit outside your house and use your internet, break into your computer, and from there can do almost anything. Be careful people, add passwords, check out Del's article on password security and choose a sensible one that is difficult to discover.
Case in point, thanks Dave.
Stackers should read this: http://forums.pinstack.com/content/1...passwords.html
I personally advocate simple passwords. I have them in my GMail accounts, banking and Home WiFi and I make a point of using https at Hotspots.
Anyway, read the above article and, in a few steps, REALLY secure yourself. Regardless of the OS you using on mobile, on PC (or MAC for that matter).
Oh no!!!! not the Android devices oh no....they're so perfect. I wonder why it hasn't blown up all over the news/newspapers/tmz/youtube/and even laundromat talks about this? Maybe because it's not Apple...
What's the matter? CIA's got you pushing too many pencils?
^^^ it's not so much in the news because its not so great. Read the article through Rato !
But then again, Apple usually takes the cake here... they seem to do it better... good or bad !
