I've had one or two mishaps as well. The latest with my Nexus 4. I can't tell how or who or what caused it, all I got was hundreds of mails from various sources that fortunately my spam filter got hold of. Except for one that offered me some pleasures for cheap...
Anyway, iOS is far safer. Nothing ever happens. .And I'm enjoying it still. Hey B, if you're reading this, go ahead get iOS7 (Beta 3). Some minor apps don't work, but the rest does and most of the kinks are gone.
My email got hacked and I received hundreds of mails, and do did some of my contacts with my address ... I cleared it with Google. They were pretty good. I still don't know which app did it, if it ever was one at all although I have an idea. Dunno really, since Google doesn't give out any details.
I don't know if Glenn or Cats had the same problem.
