Phone? This raises several questions in my mind, but I do like the way tablets function, even my poor man's Nook Color

Release it now and stop all these damn rumor mills. Before you know it they'll fall face first as they're used to doing by releasing a device 4 years old and totally obsolete when comparing it to the devices released in the same time frame.

Most of these companies seem to release things even if they are not ready and don't work right

LOL so unlike Apple that expanded their Iphone into and IPad, RIM are going the other way and contracting the Playbook into a BB

I think RIM's strategy was bass ackwards.

They should have developed a QNX handset first and then developed the Playbook later. The tablet market is still new, and they probably would have been able to get a fully-baked tablet to the market sooner if they got QNX handsets released first.

There is still time for new tablet platforms to become successful, but RIM wasted time and reputation by rushing the Playbook while failing to devote enough resources to their handsets.
