All I know is this story is ruining tech news today. About all there is covered.

Sorry Zack. I wouldn't let your site take over my life and I'll throw my phone away before I let your crap on my phone.

Someone help me see what value there is in this. Please.

I've got $10 says it destroys any battery it gets close to.

While I occasionally use Facebook to keep my family up to date with Emma and the boys, I think its a cancer that needs to be eradicated.

    "Like"?

Add to that you will have the pleasure of receiving advertising on your phone taking up a portion of your screen, along with the security problems which will later be reported everywhere when hackers take over the phone through Facebook and get your banking details plus of course Facebook to help you make friends will integrate your address book. Yes I am sure it's a good idea to let Facebook take over your life. The smartphone is intrusive enough as it is

Just don't install it. If its bloatware don't activate. Or just flash a new ROM.

I see lawsuits over "like to unlock".

My idea. You heard it here first.

Zuckerberg thinks the whole world revolves around him. This software is just arrogance on his part. Tragic thing is that it will get a lot of downloads, because people are limited in their vision of what a smartphone can do or be. I like Facebook, and keep up with family and friends, but our worlds do not revolve around it. No thank you.

I don't understand even that. What's the point of owning a smartphone if all you do is use Facebook?

What do people own a smartphone for? Talking, I don't think so, from what I observe on the train, bus it is more of an entertainment center with a bit of testing to keep up with your friends, a camera to take pictures of people doing stupid things modifying and posting online, and a GPS mapping device. So in a lot of ways for the proletariat the Facebook front end is ideal It will sell well

    Looks too intrusive.
Honestly not interested. I use my phone as a computer replacement. Granted I use it to keep in touch with family, I rarely use it as a "phone". Sprint gives us 1500 minutes to split 3 ways, we barely use 200 of those a month. Wife and I text mostly.

The idea of having a device dedicated to one site is dumbfounding to me.
