Sounds like RIM is working hard on adding eye candy. I'm happy to read this. Users will love it if that is the case. 6.0 may be an awesome OS leaving everything else behind.

I think I'll hang onto my 8900 until the end of the year to see if RIM gets a decent device with this OS out. That is unless a device like EVO comes to T-Mo in the interim.

That darn Evo and any device like it is going to put a dent in a lot of other devices. I think it's just that good and the beginning of something new from our smart phones. (not trying to hi-jack)

IMO the EVO is too big. Might as well carry a Arcos5 or whatever it is. Is this going to be avalible for current devices or just the new ones coming out? If so its going to be a busy summer for RIM huh.

One thing that i hope doesn't happen with this OS is the constant "leaks" to update the OS. I don't miss that at all and i hope RIM gets right this time with only minor changes and updates that actually do something. Plus I hope you don't have to wipe and restore every-time that one of these updates come out.

Thing that has bugged me for the longest time is that we have to depend on the carriers for our OS'. Microsoft has figured out that it sucks and says all their releases will be from them directly. Just like Apple has always done.

Hopefully they will leak a video of the OS in action soon too.

I think this is a good start for RIM.

Along with a fresh UI I wonder if they figured out the memory leak yet? Hopefully a faster reboot time?

I hope these little things gets addressed.
