What about AT&T? Interesting there's no mention of them in all this.

BoSoxFan82, the 9780 has the same processor as the 9700 and the 9800, which is 624mhz. However, in independent tests this processor actually runs at 800 -

Roger, if RIM follows the same pattern they have in the past, a 9780 for AT&T (and a 9800 for Tmo) will be along in a few months - -

The question is -- does it really matter? If it has a 1ghz processor, what will you utilize it for?
It's a blackberry. Great at anything text related. Gaming will never be great unless they redesign completely.

I guess for pandora/web browsing it would help, but I just can't see where my bb 9700 can be improved via ram/CPU. Even the battery life doesn't need to be improved anymore.

Fricken full imap is what's needed.

So what makes this any better than my 9700...other than the blackberry 6 O/S?

Haas, it's got twice the memory, OS 6 as you've said, as well as a 5mp camera.

Well I would guess that shortly after this release someone will post a link for the 6.0...wonder if it will work on the 9700??? When will RIM release it for the 9700?? My guess would be that it will be a while before the release...they want us to buy the 9780 first.

So, are we to expect another Bold (XXXtremely souped up bold which makes your other bold phones that look the same horribly outdated although running the same old crap) on January 17, 2011? J/k I really hope it comes with OS6 for those users who have been begging for a new OS for the 9700.

Round and round the cobbler's bench
    The monkey chased the weasel,
The monkey thought 'twas all in fun
    Pop! Goes the weasel.

A penny for a spool of thread
    A penny for a needle,
That's the way the money goes,
    Pop! Goes the weasel.

A half a pound of tupenny rice,
A half a pound of treacle.
Mix it up and make it nice,
    Pop! Goes the weasel.

Up and down the London road,
In and out of the Eagle,
That's the way the money goes,
    Pop! Goes the weasel.

I've no time to plead and pine,
    I've no time to wheedle,
Kiss me quick and then I'm gone
    Pop! Goes the Blackberry 9780
(Music to above will be provided by AT&T upon your request
